Jobs and visits look similar but play different roles. Knowing the difference makes the rest of the app make sense.
Job
A job is a scheduled future-or-current piece of work. Recurring service plans generate jobs on the cadence you set; one-off work creates a single job. Jobs have a status: scheduled, in progress, completed, or skipped.
Visit
A visit is the historical record. It is created the moment a job is marked complete. Visits are immutable in the sense that they don’t move on the calendar - they record what happened.
How they connect
When you mark a job complete on Day View or in the mobile app, Servogo creates a corresponding visit record automatically. If you un-complete a job (usually only to fix a mistake), the visit is removed. This is what powers the client’s service history and feeds invoicing.
Edit a visit’s date or tech via Job History → click the visit. Edits flow back to invoicing - if you correct a tech assignment after Payroll has been calculated, re-run Payroll for the period.
