Day View is where the day’s work actually happens. It is the default landing page for dispatchers and techs, and the page most people spend most of their time on.
The layout
- Date and tech selector at the top. Pick the day and (for admins) the technician whose route you’re viewing.
- Route timeline on the left - every stop with arrival and departure times.
- Map showing the route line and stop pins.
- Weather panel with hour-by-hour forecast for the route’s location.
- Stats row across the top: stops, total distance, drive time, on-site time, day length.
Reordering stops
Drag any stop up or down in the timeline. Times update as you drag - you can see the impact on arrival times before you let go. The map redraws automatically.
Optimising the route
Click Optimise in the toolbar. Servogo finds the shortest tour through all stops, starting and ending at your home address (if “include home” is on). Optimisation is non-destructive - you can always drag back to a manual order.
Marking jobs done
Click a stop, then Mark complete. The visit is recorded immediately and feeds into invoicing. Techs do the same thing from their mobile view.
Breaks and start time
Set the day’s start time using the time picker above the timeline. Add a break by clicking between two stops - it inserts a gap that pushes later stops down accordingly.
Weather
The weather panel shows the forecast at the centroid of your route. If you’re rain-sensitive (window cleaners, painters), use it to decide whether to push the day or proceed.
Tip: Servogo persists your manual stop order. Reopening Day View later in the day shows the same order you set in the morning, even if you’ve re-optimised since.
